Agreement

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Get Bit mobile apps (iOS and Android) and get-bit.net (the “Service”). By creating an account or using Get Bit, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

Get Bit provides fishing intelligence: a BiteScore™, condition summaries, recommended windows, and lure suggestions based on weather, water, tide, and the species you select.

BiteScore and recommendations are informational. They are not a guarantee you will catch fish, that conditions are safe, or that a lure is legal where you fish. Always check local regulations, weather, and water safety yourself.

Your account

You must provide an accurate email and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

You may delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Account. Deletion is permanent.

We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms, abuses the API, or puts the Service or other users at risk.

Your content

You keep ownership of catch notes, photos, and saved spots you submit. You grant us a license to store and display that content back to you in the app so the Service can function.

Catch locations are private by default. Do not upload content you do not have the right to use.

Acceptable use

Do not scrape, overload, or reverse engineer the API beyond normal use of the official app. Do not attempt to access another user’s account or private catches. Do not use Get Bit to break fishing or other laws.

Intellectual property

Get Bit, BiteScore, the app, and related marks and copy are owned by Get Bit. You may not copy the Service or present our scores as your own product.

Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS.” Weather, water, and tide data come from third parties and can be wrong or unavailable. We do not warrant uninterrupted service or that a recommendation will produce a catch.

Outdoor fishing involves risk. You are responsible for your safety, licenses, and compliance with local rules.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Get Bit is not liable for lost catches, travel costs, lost data, or damages arising from your use of the Service or reliance on a BiteScore or recommendation. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
